Your A List Should Start with Vitamin D

When I was working in Washington D.C. I often ran blood work to evaluate the health of patients. I noticed that about 90% of those tests showed low Vitamin D or just barely in range. I usually associated that to location and latitude with less sun than those nearer the equator. Maybe it is because everyone leaves home when it is dark, stays inside all day at work, then drives home and never gets a good dose of sun rays. Sound familiar? We have sense moved to beautiful Charleston, SC where the weather is nicer and the sun is more available and more inviting. So what have I noticed you ask? Vitamin D levels are still predominantly low. Why is that important?

A whole bunch of things! (As we say in the South) Take vitamin D! Your body will thank you.

………………………………………………………UPDATE…………………………………………………………………………………………

SO, I wrote this a few years ago but never posted it due to procrastination. Since then we have discovered an even greater reason to take vitamin D. In this article

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7385774/

studies show that vitamin D supplementation can reduce the time and intensity of infection and reduce your chances of hospitalization and death from Covid 19.

If you want to know what your levels are it’s a simple blood test we can order to identify your levels and improve your health. There are other things involved especially with digestion that can affect your ability to make and absorb vitamin D but for now, please begin taking it and get it checked!
